The holidays are sneaking up on us so fast!
With only 12 days left until Christmas, it feels like if I blink BOOM it will be here. I still have shopping, wrapping, and baking to do!! Please tell me that I am not along, do you procrastinate like I do?
How about your holiday meal? Do you have that all planned out?
We usually have 2 or three different proteins available so everyone can get a little of what they love, but everyone, and I mean evvvvvvvveryone looks forward to the delicious Smithfield Spiral Sliced Ham. It just isn’t a holiday table without one!
One of the reasons I love serving their ham is because, aside from how uber simple it is to make one– just pop it in the oven at 275 degrees for about 10 – 12 minutes per pound, then evenly brush on the tasty glaze and you’re done, you can serve as the centerpiece of your dinner, and then use every last bit of the leftover slices by adding them into delicious appetizers or your favorite brunch recipe the next morning.
Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy, delicious food, with zero waste! In fact there is usually quite a bit of wheeling and dealing to see who gets the last few bites!
I am currently the champ at that competition!
So, this year I decided to share with you some great ways to use your leftover ham.
Smithfield has some terrific recipes for you here and here, and if you are still looking for more inspiration Take a gander at 40 more recipes of the ham deliciousness!!
Since I'll be serving an enormous ham for Christmas Eve dinner, this post could not have come at a better time! These recipes look incredible, and are a much needed break from my usual "Ham and Split Pea Soup"!
