OK, technically it is candy, but it is sweets, and I never seem to make sweets.
Although I do have another real dessert recipe coming your way pretty soon, and I actually baked I know, mark it down, declare a national holiday!!
But with Easter, and Mother’s Day coming up, I wanted some sweets for y’all. I am not a big sweets eater, Easter and Christmas seem to be the times that I let caution fly and wave my sweet lover flag high!
Mother’s Day makes me think of sweets. Well, actually the sweet I crave over and over again is my daughter’s tiramisu cake. OhhhEmmGeee that cake is amazeballs!
Can I get her to make it for me again?
She said it takes a lot of work.
Am I not worth it???
*sigh* maybe again, one of these years….
So, let’s get back to this candy and off my self-pity party.
I saw several different variations of “bark” on Martha Stewart’s website. I thought all of them were great, and uber-simple, which caught my eye really quick. This is literally melted chocolate with candy and sprinkles. Sooooo simple. The “hardest” part is melting the chocolate, which I simplified by using the microwave.
