🥘Low-Carb Cinnamon Rolls Recipe Ingredient Notes
- Heavy Cream: Adds richness and moisture to the dough, helping to create a tender, fluffy texture in the cinnamon rolls. The warmth of the cream also helps activate the yeast.
- Eggs: Provide structure and stability to the dough, contributing to its light and fluffy texture. They also add moisture and richness, enhancing the overall flavor of the rolls.
- Unsalted Butter: Used in both the dough and the filling, butter adds richness and flavor. It helps create a tender texture and contributes to the indulgent taste of the rolls.
- King Arthur Keto Wheat Flour: This is the star ingredient that allows the cinnamon rolls to remain light and fluffy while being low in carbs. It provides the structure necessary for the rolls to rise properly.
- Pink Salt: Enhances the flavor of the rolls and balances the sweetness. It also plays a role in strengthening the dough's structure.
- Besti Monk Fruit and Allulose Sweetener: This combination of keto-friendly sweeteners provides the necessary sweetness without the carbs. It allows you to enjoy the sweetness of traditional cinnamon rolls while keeping it low-carb.
- Instant Yeast: This ingredient helps the dough rise and creates a light, airy texture in the finished rolls. Instant yeast is convenient because it doesn’t require proofing before mixing.
- Brown Sweetener: Used in the filling, this sweetener provides the classic brown sugar flavor that complements the cinnamon and adds a delicious depth to the rolls.
- Ground Cinnamon: This essential spice gives the rolls their signature flavor, adding warmth and sweetness that pairs perfectly with the other ingredients.
- Cream Cheese (for Frosting): Adds a rich, creamy texture to the frosting, enhancing the overall flavor and providing a delicious contrast to the warm cinnamon rolls.
- Powdered Sweetener: Used in the frosting, this sweetener ensures the frosting is smooth and sweet without any grit. It creates the perfect topping for the cinnamon rolls.
- Real Vanilla Extract: Enhances the overall flavor profile, adding warmth and depth to both the dough and the frosting.

Helpful Hint: 💡 To ensure the best rise for your cinnamon rolls, place the covered dough in a warm environment while it rises. You can create a warm spot by turning your oven to the lowest setting for a few minutes, then turning it off and placing the dough inside. This helps the yeast activate and creates light, fluffy rolls.
🍽Equipment Needed
This is the equipment you will need to make this Low-Carb Cinnamon Rolls Recipe.
Storage and Reheating
Storage:
- At Room Temperature: Store leftover cinnamon rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Make sure they are completely cooled before sealing to prevent moisture buildup.
- In the Refrigerator: For longer storage, refrigerate the cinnamon rolls in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
- In the Freezer: If you want to keep them for an extended period, freeze the cinnamon rolls. Wrap each roll individually in plastic wrap and then place them in a freezer-safe bag or container. They can be frozen for up to 3 months.
Reheating:
- Microwave: To reheat, place a cinnamon roll on a microwave-safe plate and cover it with a damp paper towel to keep it moist. Microwave for about 15-20 seconds or until warmed through. Adjust the time as needed based on your microwave's wattage.
- Oven: For a crispier texture, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the cinnamon rolls on a baking sheet and cover them loosely with foil to prevent over-browning. Heat for about 10-15 minutes or until warmed through.
- Air Fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C). Place the cinnamon rolls in the basket and heat for 5-8 minutes, checking to ensure they don’t overcook.
These storage and reheating methods will help maintain the deliciousness of your cinnamon rolls! Enjoy!
💭Top tip
If you’re feeling ambitious, consider doubling the recipe and freezing a batch of the rolled, unbaked cinnamon rolls. Simply place them in a freezer-safe container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and foil. When you’re ready to enjoy them, just let them thaw in the fridge overnight and bake them fresh in the morning for a delightful breakfast treat!
FAQ about this Low-Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
No, almond flour and coconut flour are not suitable alternatives for keto wheat flour in this recipe. Keto wheat flour is specifically formulated to provide the light and fluffy texture needed for these cinnamon rolls.
Ensure that your yeast is fresh and has not expired. Also, make sure the liquid ingredients are warm, not hot, as high temperatures can kill the yeast. If the dough still doesn’t rise, try placing it in a warmer location.

Low-Carb Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
For the Rolls
- 1 cup heavy cream warmed
- 2 eggs room temp
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
- 4 1/2 cups King Arthur Keto Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp pink salt
- 1/2 cup Besti Monk fruit and Allulose Sweetener
- 1 package instant yeast
For the Filling
- 1 cup Besti Brown Sweetener packed
- 2 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter softened
For the Frosting
- 3 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 1/2 cup Besti Monk Fruit and Allulose Powdered Sweetener
- 1/2 tsp real vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp pink salt
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast in the warm heavy cream in a large bowl.
- Mix in the sweetener, butter, salt, and eggs.
- Add the flour in quarters and mix well. It will get a little tough, but keep at it until it’s well mixed! If it starts to get way too hard to mix anymore, dust your hands with some flour and finish mixing it by hand.
- Knead the dough into a large ball and put it back into the bowl. Cover it with a dish cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F
- Roll dough into a large rectangle (Make sure not to roll it too thin, or it will rip when you roll it up). Spread the dough with the softened butter and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over it.
- Roll the dough up and cut into 10 rolls, (you can discard the two end bits). This will leave you with 8 good-sized rolls.
- Place rolls in a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about thirty minutes.
- Bake rolls in preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- While the rolls are baking, beat together the ingredients for the frosting.
- Spread or drizzle it on warm rolls before serving.
