Sugar-free keto candied pecans in a white ramekin.

Keto Candied Pecans (Sugar-Free)

These sugar-free candied pecans are crispy, salty, sweet, a little spicy, and seriously addictive, you won’t believe they are keto with less than 2g of carbs per serving.

Instructions

  • Heat the oven to 300 degrees F.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the sugars, ground cinnamon, salt, and cayenne pepper together in a small mixing bowl. Whisk until well combined.
  • In another small bowl, whisk the egg white and vanilla together.
  • In a large mixing bowl, add the pecans and egg white mixture and gently toss until the pecans are coated well.
  • Sprinkle in the sugar mixture and gently toss until the pecans are evenly coated.
  • Spread the pecans out in a single layer on the baking sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes, then remove the nuts and give them a brief stir.
  • Bake for 20 minutes more or until the pecans are fragrant and the sugar coating is cooked. (please note that the coating will continue to harden once the pecans are out of the oven and cool.)
  • Place the baking sheet on a cooling rack, separate the pecans as much as possible, and let the pecans cool to room temperature. Serve and enjoy immediately, or transfer the pecans to a sealed container to store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
