For the slow cooker

  • Mix all of the seasonings in a small bowl.
  • Pour the beer into the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle each thigh with the seasoning blend and carefully place them in the slow cooker making sure not to wash the spices off with the beer.
  • Cover the cooker and set your time. Frozen - 4 to 6 hours on high or 8 to 10 hours on low Thawed - 3 to 4 hours on high or 7 to 8 hours on low. *See Notes

For oven braising

  • Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Mix all of the seasonings in a small bowl.
  • Pour the beer into a large oven-safe dish.
  • Sprinkle each thigh with the seasoning blend and carefully place them in the dish, making sure not to wash the spices off with the beer.
  • Cover the dish with foil or an oven-safe lid.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  • For a crispy skin, uncover the dish during the last 20 minutes of cooking. *See Notes

Notes

If you want crispy skin place the chicken thighs, skin side up, under the broiler for about 5 minutes or until the skin becomes crispy and golden brown. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
