    I have a dream.
It is a small one really. Or rather it would seem like a small one for most people. But I am not, like most people (DUH right?).
I would just about give my first born (if you are reading this Seth I said just about) to be organized. It seriously is a goal I have had for years.
I like to joke that I need an OCD person to live with me so my ADD is balanced out!

I wish I could pay someone to get my life all nice and organized for me. I swear I would keep it that way! I just haven't the fainest clue how to get it there.
If you saw my desk you would laugh. I am a note person. I write everything down. If I don't I will forget it, and I mean almost immediately. I have actually had a thought, went to write it down, and in the time it took me to find a pen and paper POP the thought bubble burst and I am clueless as to what had been there.
Then there is all of those notes.
What happens to all of those thoughts, or errands, or plans, etc that actually do make it to paper? Well, there are filing methods I am sure, but I tend to be an "Out of sight out of mind" kind of person. So all of those notes, scrap pieces of paper, and scribbles end up in a pile on my teeny tiny desk. Now I have a stack of papers that I need to go through on a daily basis to try and remember exactly what I need to do for the day, and dear Lord don't let one of those papers get moved or misplaced!
Somehow I still manage to get my job done, but I know there is a lot less stressful way of doing things. I feel like the person that leaves the house and halfway to their destination is asking themselves "Did I turn off the coffee pot?". Always wondering if I forgot something.
I need a secretary, that's it! Do you happen to know anyone that would work for food?
What does all of that have to do with this recipe?
Well, this came about for those days when I went through all of my notes, completed all of my tasks for the day except plan dinner. Oops, ya big oops, and we have no pizza delivery here so it is all up to me. Luckily we buy a lot of our meat in bulk, so (if I think about it before actual dinner time) I can grab some meat out of the freezer and thaw it out.
But what to do with it? Salt, pepper, garlic powder, steak seasoning, Worcestershire sauce? Thank goodness a cuisine that Kevin and I totally agree on is Asian. We both love it. So I started working on a quick marinade/sauce for those brain fart moments.
What I love is I have used this for beef, pork, chicken, seafood, it works for everything. Toss in chopped up veggies (I like to use whatever I have leftover in the fridge but do keep a bag of frozen stir fry mix in my freezer at all times now) and BOOM you have a meal that actually tastes planned.
This works great for 1 to 2 pounds of meat. If you like a lot of sauce you can always double it, but this gives us just the right amount of "sauciness".
So my ADD was actually a plus in this situation. We have a meal that Kevin actually requests quite often.
"Babe, can we have the ADD meal tonight?"
    "Haha very funny *sigh* yes."

Asian Marinade and Stir Fry Sauce

1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
    1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
    2 tablespoons orange juice
    1 tablespoon honey
    1 tablespoon ground ginger

    1 tablespoons dry mustard
    2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 tablespoons corn starch

in a small bowl combine all the ingredients.

To marinate, place the protein or vegetables of your choice in a large zipper top bag. Pour in half of the sauce. Make sure the meat is coated with the marinade and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.

To make the sauce, pour the reserved sauce in the skillet with cooked meat and/or veggies. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens.

Makes enough sauce for 2 pounds of meat.

    ENJOY!
