🎉🍰Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk: Your Guilt-Free Sweetness Solution! 🍰🎉
Hey there, fabulous foodies! 🙌
Let me whisk you back to a time when I first embarked on my keto journey. It was right before the holiday season, and I faced a sweet dilemma. The keto lifestyle meant waving goodbye to fudge, bidding adieu to pies, and parting ways with all those sugary delights that required a magical ingredient – sweetened condensed milk. 😭
But I was determined not to have another "sugar-free" holiday season. So, fast forward to the following year, I set out on a mission – to create my very own Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk! 🥄🍬
And let me tell you, it was a keto game-changer! 🎮💥
Why Create Your Own Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk?
- Sweet Treats Revival: With my homemade keto version, the dessert floodgates burst wide open! Fudge? Check. Creamy pies? Check. Dreamy homemade ice cream? Check, check, and check! 🍨🥧
- Vietnamese Coffee Love: There's another reason too. My daughter and I share a deep love for Vietnamese coffee. And you can't have that without a generous swirl of sweetened condensed milk. ☕❤️
Now, here's the keto kitchen secret: simmer your keto sweetened condensed milk anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes. The magic happens as it simmers. At 30 minutes, it achieves a nice, thick consistency with a light yellow or cream color. But if you want to take it to the next level, simmer it for the full 45 minutes. It transforms into a caramel wonder, reminiscent of dulce de leche. 🍯🔥
So, picture me in the kitchen, whisking away like a keto wizard, creating sweet keto magic with my homemade keto sweetened condensed milk. The result? Pure delight! It's like the keto universe heard our sweet cravings and whispered, "Don't worry, we've got you covered!" 🌌✨
Now, you might be wondering, "What can I do with this keto sweetened condensed milk?" Well, hold onto your chef's hats because the possibilities are endless! 🎩🔮
Versatility That Will Wow You!
- Drizzle it over keto-friendly pancakes for a breakfast fit for royalty.
- Mix it into your morning coffee for a keto-friendly latte that rivals your local coffee shop.
- Use it to sweeten up your favorite keto desserts – pies, fudge, ice cream, you name it!
- Get creative with keto cocktails or mocktails that'll have your taste buds dancing.
So, my fellow keto warriors, here's to never feeling deprived of sweetness again. You can have your cake (or keto dessert) and eat it too! 🍰🎉

🥘Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk Ingredients
These are the ingredients necessary to make Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk.
- Heavy Cream - I use cream with the highest fat I can find
- Butter - unsalted is preferred.
- Best Monk Fruit and Allulose Powdered Sweetener - I really prefer this sweetener to any other I have tried.
A detailed list with measurements and instructions can be found on the printable recipe card at the bottom of the page.
🔪Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk Instructions
This is a basic breakdown of the steps involved in making Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk. You will find the full directions in the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
Add all of the ingredients into a small saucepan.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until it begins to simmer.
Reduce the heat to very low and let it simmer for 30 to 45 minutes stirring continuously.
Once cool, transfer to a glass jar or container and refrigerate.
Hint: If you prefer a thicker and more caramel-like consistency for your sweetened condensed milk, simmer it for the full 45 minutes (pictured). This will give it a richer flavor, similar to dulce de leche. On the other hand, if you're looking for a lighter and less caramelized version, a 30-minute simmer will do the trick. Adjust the simmering time to match your desired taste and texture.
Substitutions
- Heavy Cream - You can use canned full-fat coconut cream if you prefer, just make sure to blend it well before using it.
- Butter - I prefer unsalted butter for this but you can use vegan butter and coconut cream to make this dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
- Vanilla - this is an optional ingredient.
🍽Equipment
This is the equipment you will need to make Keto Sweetened Condensed Milk.
Storage
Leftover condensed milk should always be stored in the refrigerator, to avoid any spoilage. It will keep well, covered, for up to 4 weeks. Before using it, let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes, for it to loosen up.
TO FREEZE: Place the condensed milk in a sealable container, and store in the freezer for up to 6 months.
💭Top tip
Don't forget to keep a close eye on the heat while simmering. You want to maintain a gentle simmer without letting it boil vigorously. Stir continuously during this process to ensure a smooth and creamy end result. And remember, patience is key when it comes to achieving that perfect sweetened condensed milk consistency!
