🥘Keto Hot Chocolate Mix Ingredients
These are the ingredients necessary to make Keto Hot Chocolate Mix.
- Heavy Cream Powder - Many hot chocolate mixes use regular milk powder but heavy cream powder has fewer carbs.
- Vanilla Powder - Don't leave this ingredient out! I like to add extra to my hot cocoa!
- Xanthan Gum - This is an optional ingredient that just helps to make the hot chocolate thicker and creamier.
A detailed list with measurements and instructions can be found on the printable recipe card at the bottom of the page.

In a large mixing bowl, sift in the unsweetened cocoa powder.
Sift in the heavy cream powder to get rid of any lumps.

Whisk well until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
Helpful Hint: 💡: I know the recipes say that the xanthan gum is optional but it does aid the creaminess of this recipe.

Storage
- Airtight Container: Store your keto hot chocolate mix in an airtight container to prevent moisture and odors from affecting its quality.
- Cool, Dark Place: Keep the container in a cool, dark place, like a pantry or cupboard. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, as it can degrade the quality of the ingredients over time.
- Refrigeration (Optional): While not necessary, refrigeration can extend the shelf life of the mix, especially if your kitchen tends to get warm.
- Check Regularly: Periodically check the mix for any signs of moisture, clumping, or changes in color or aroma. If you notice any of these, it might be time to refresh your batch.
- Labeling: Don't forget to label your container with the date of preparation to keep track of freshness.
With these storage tips, you can ensure that your homemade keto hot chocolate mix stays fresh and delightful for many cozy moments to come.

This is super creamy if you add it to milk but can use water as well. I added it to my cup of coffe and it was delicious. Adding peppermint vodka makes a yummy Christmas drink too.
