Howdy, y'all!
Today is G-baby Thursday Woohoooooo
As I am typing this the beastie is laying on a blanket, watching So You Think You Can Dance with me, and trying ever so hard to Bollywood dance. It is quite possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen!
Up next on the playlist is Lion King, during which I plan to serenade her with my best Disney-ish singing voice. She will either love it, or I will scar her for life.
Now that there is a baby in the house, I have dusted off those old kiddo movies I have and am finding that somehow discs have completely disappeared! *sigh* it seems that the little gremlins that I had when the kids were little have followed me here.
*insert big red-faced angry emoji here*
So I decided to calm myself I would hop on Half.com and see if I could find a few of the movies that I am missing.
A few?
Holy movie collector Batman!
Have you been to that site?
It is AWESOME!
Awesome, yet very dangerous. I started browsing and heard a little voice in my head say "be vewy vewy cawefuw Nana, you awe going a wittle bit cway cway!".
I have no idea why the little voice in my head turned into Elmer Fudd, but let's just go with OK?
So long story short, I signed on to buy The Little Mermaid. When I was done I had The Little Mermaid, Jungle Book, Aristocats, Lion King, Godspell, and Oceans Eleven.
I know those last two don't really fit into the first group, but I am a theater girl that has a major thing for George Clooney.
It's an issue I am working through.

If you like creamy, tangy, with a hint of lemon, and a peppery bite, then jump on board this crazy creamy white BBQ sauce train with me.
And don't just take it from me, Kevin loves it, Seth loves it, Heather loves it, Jessi......well Jessi not so much.
She was the one that took one taste, gave me the bitter beer face, and said, "Ummm no!".
But she is also the one that loves, I mean luuuuuuvs my fruit BBQ sauces (low carb blueberry BBQ sauce coming soon!) like Roasted Strawberry, Pumpkin, and Blackberry.
This sauce is light years in the opposite direction!

This sounds interesting. I've never tried a white BBQ sauce. Do you use it the same as you would a typical BBQ sauce or is it more of a condiment to be used on top of things after they are cooked?

A fellow blogger once gave me a jar, but I never used it. I need to try your homemade recipe---it sure looks like a yummy alternative for BBQ. P.S. SO glad you enjoyed the pound cake (I gave as much away as I could so I wouldn't eat it all!!!).

I use it the same, and then use a little bit more as I serve it.

I like it because it is super tangy from the AV and Greek yogurt, and the mustard powder and black pepper give it a little bit of h eat. I love heat in my BBQ sauce 🙂 Ohhh I am trying SO hard not to eat that whole dang cake myself LOL My kids were here when I first made it and they got to eat the bottom piece I cut off to make it flat. It was still warm YUM!!

What is the consistency supposed to be. I followed the directions and mine is quite thin.
Bobbi | Bobbi's Kozy Kitchen
I have had the consistency be a bit different depending on what brand of yogurt I use, but it isn't as thick as a traditional BBQ sauce.

White BBQ sauce is one of my favorite things to make in the summer because it goes so well on so many things we grill. Your recipe looks fantastic!

Bobbi - I don't see yogurt in the recipe?!
Bobbi
Nope, just mayo.

Lemon curd drew me in, then Pacific Northwest and then White BBQ sauce. My kind of cooking! Thank you for your time and energy!
